I work with clients to slow down and bring their systems and lives back into balance and homeostasis. Through guidance and practice, I help them develop the skills to manage and balance the chaos of everyday life through slow-tempo, stillness and breath.

In our society, we are in a constant state of over-stimulation resulting in an enormous amount of stress. This causes our nervous systems to speed up and go into turbo-drive or “fight or flight” mode, making it difficult or even impossible to relax. Over time, this condition becomes habitually embedded in our systems. It is important to have a regular practice to “de-stress” or we become physically, emotionally and/or spiritually taxed or drained. The manifestation of this is reflected in the development of many physical and emotional disorders and symptoms (click here for a list of conditions). Habitual stress can also lead to pregnancy and birth related problems as well as common childhood disorders such as ADD/ADHD.

Inherent in each one of us is a support system that regulates physical, emotional and spiritual healing wherever there is trauma, imbalance or dis-regulation. Similar to the eye of a hurricane, there are fulcrums of stillness specifically in the fluids of the body around which a current of deep, healing rhythms are expressed. These currents found in the fluid system serve to organize regulation, healing and synchronization. When the body is in a constant state of stress, this healing life force becomes compressed and cannot efficiently perform its role. Yoga and Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy are practices that access stillness, breath and slow tempo in order to decompress and reorganize this magnificent system. In the client, this is often sensed as a deep experience of presence and wholeness. As a result, instead of feeling caught-up in the stress of everyday life, you will be able to manage it while maintaining a sense of being grounded and connected with your breath.
